Warming the Womb Lodge: Postpartum & Beyond
Content: 2hr Recorded Class & Companion Guide PDF
Workshop Description:
A warm womb is full of life, with proper blood flow and nutrient circulation. After birth or loss, maintaining warmth in the womb is crucially important for short and long-term health. This wisdom-share workshop will be a deep dive into Anishinaabe Ojibwe teachings about womb care in the postpartum period. Learn what causes cold-womb syndrome in the postpartum healing period and how to assess and treat this syndrome with Indigenous warming therapies that work on the physical and spiritual bodies.
Participants will also receive a workbook that contains a cold-womb assessment worksheet, birth story debrief activity, and cold-womb treatment worksheet for use with self and clients.
*This workshop is for Black, Indigenous, People of Color and mixed POC only.
