BIRTH CONSULTATIONS FOR SURVIVORS OF TRAUMA
(
Available remotely via video call or in-person for folks in the Metro Detroit Area
)
-Increase a sense of preparedness and reduce chances of re-traumatization by creating a detailed care plan.
  • 4 Sessions | 1.5-2hrs each
Session One: Build and strengthen coping skills that will most successfully support you during times of fear, overwhelm, anxiety, etc. We craft a personalized plan of physical, mental, emotional, & spiritual strategies that will be helpful during pregnancy, birth, postpartum & beyond.
Session Two, Three & Four: Identify & address the most commonly triggering aspects of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. Strategize solutions/action plans around each trigger to avoid/minimize stress, fear, re-traumatization, etc. Leave with a detailed care plan to assist in preparedness and future decision making.

MEDICAL ACCOMPANIMENT (Available as a stand alone service or to be included for additional cost in birth package)
Medical appointments can be a source of major stress & anxiety: dental, gynecological, specialists, etc. Having an experienced, compassionate, and non-judgemental companion can support you advocating for yourself and minimize stress, fear, re-traumatization, etc.

  • Includes an optional phone check in a few days before and after the medical appointment to process, brainstorm resources, etc.

EMPOWERED BIRTH PACKAGE-
Same as Radiant Birth Package but includes Survivor Consultation services.
Medical Accompaniment to scheduled doctor visits is available for additional cost.


FREE MEET & GREET: 1hour & In-person
This meeting is to connect, ask questions, & see if I may be a fit for you!

PRENATAL SUPPORT: Beginning at Week 32 of Pregnancy
  • 2 In-person visits (Week 32 & 36 of Pregnancy) | Txt, phone, & email support
Multi-faceted support during pregnancy to inform and empower as you prepare for birth & parenthood.

Content is tailored to each client, but topics include:
  • Basic Birth Education: Home Birth vs Hospital Birth, What to expect during 3rd trimester OB/Midwife visits, Stages of labor, Pain Management Options, Newborn Care Procedures, & More.
  • Customized Birth Vision: A concise vision tailored to your desires and chosen location of birth. ESPECIALLY helpful for hospital births!
  • Resources: Evidenced-based research; local resources for pregnant and new parents; empowering/uplifting/informative website, book, blog, podcast recommendations; & more.
  • Coping Mechanisms & Pain Management: Physical, mental, emotional (and spiritual if you desire!) preparation for dealing with struggle & discomfort during pregnancy, birth, & beyond.
  • Holistic Approaches to Pregnancy & Birth: Tailored to your lifestyle- examples include recipes, natural & herbal remedies for wellness & common ailments, guided meditation, yoga sequences, & more.
  • Optimal Fetal Positioning: Drawing upon Spinning Babies technique, I teach positions & movements to encourage the ideal position for baby to be delivered vaginally and with minimal  discomfort.
  • Postpartum Planning: With so much preparation around birth, it is easy to forget that postpartum life needs just as much attention and care! We will identify & prepare for common postpartum struggles; brainstorm ways to access & organize support from family, friends, & professionals; strategize around food preparation, what to expect around breastfeeding & sleep schedule; & more.
SURVIVOR CONSULTATION: Weeks 33- 35 of Pregnancy
  • 3 In-person sessions | 1.5-2hrs each

Strategize solutions/action plans around each trigger to avoid/minimize stress, fear, re-traumatization, etc. Create a detailed care plan while strengthening a sense of preparedness.
BIRTH SUPPORT: Beginning at Week 38 of Pregnancy
  • 24 hours on-call | In-Person support once in Active Labor until baby is born | Compilation of Birth Notes
Beginning with early labor, phone & txt support is provided to remind, normalize, encourage, & navigate the ebbs and flows of early labor.

Once labor has reached or is nearing active labor, in-person support is provided wherever you need it- home, birth center, or hospital- and will last until baby is born! Basic lactation support will be provided to encourage first latch.

POST BIRTH VISIT: 1-2 Weeks After Birth
  • 1 in-person visit | Turning in Birth Notes
This visit is dedicated to processing the birth experience, checking in on your well-being, brainstorming solutions for any postpartum struggles you may be experiencing, & more.
