FACILITATORs
Angelique “Omi” Geehan (any pronouns) works as a coach, consultant, editor, and facilitator to support and repair the connections people have to themselves and their families, communities, and cultural practices.
A queer asian gender (binary) non-conforming parent, Angelique founded Interchange, a consulting group that offers anti-oppression support through materials and process assessments, staff training, and community building.
They organize across multiple realms including the Baby Carrier Industry Alliance, National Perinatal Association’s Health Equity Workgroup, and the Health and Healing Justice Committee of the National Queer and Trans Asian and Pacific Islander Alliance.
Micaela “Mickey” McHenry (she/her/ella) is a traditional, full spectrum birthworker and the Birth Bruja Program Manager. While she thoroughly enjoys supporting all functions of the reproductive cycle, postpartum is her JAM.
She includes pieces of her own lineages (Lakota, Apache & Mexica) in her work with a focus on gentle and holistic care. She believes food is healing and loves to cook as a way to show her love. She enjoys being outside, communing with her ancestors, and working alongside other birthworkers.
Mickey is a first time Mami of a sweet and happy baby called Avery. She offers this group in response to a huge pull from the universe to host a postpartum group and build this community.
